A drop in the ocean, eventually!

As a child I used to wonder about the journey a water drop makes. In reality I am sure that a drop does not stay a drop but none the less it's a good objective way at looking at it.

Just think of the journey that one molecule makes over millions and millions of years. It's incomprehensible. They say that a glass of water may have been through up to 9 people before you!

Starting with a cloud the drop could be hanging around bored and then whoosh the poor little bugger drops. Hurtling down towards the earth and luckily landing in a pool at the top of a mountain. From here it gradually swims to the mouth of a river and then whoosh the ride starts again, bashing against rocks, passing through the gills of fish and finally settling in a man made reservoir. From here a pipe directs int through miles of traveling to finally make it into a facet. Plopped into a glass of water then dealing with the ordeal of being inside the human bosy before being sweated out and traveling back to th sky as a gas. Luckily this drop was spared being peed out into the sewers, this time.

Thus the cycle continues.
