Ebay Partner network

I have joined the affiliate program for the ebay partner network.

It now means that I can display such great things as real-time auctions from ebay on my websites and earn commissions if anybody buys through them! This is fantastic news for me. Ebay is a renowned and trusted retailer so they ads will not look bad on my websites.

I am going to try and find some time tomorrow to look through and set it up for my main website.

Have you used ebay for affiliate earnings before?

Park West Gallery

Most of us love art. I don't own any right now as I don't have my own house to put it in. But when I am a little more settled I will probably be making and buying some art for my house.

If you are serious about art then Park West Art Gallery is one place that has to be checked out.

They are the home to the largest fine art collection in the whole world! That is very impressive. They sell some of their goods in auctions all over the United States and Canada. And if you are looking to buy Internationally then Park West at Sea operate international auctions on cruise ships.

I have not been to Park West gallery but it's building and layout looks amazing and reminds me of some of the fantastic galleries that I have visited in London. Their collection looks like it contains a huge range of styles and artists and makes me really want to visit.

Have you been?

Blog About Animals, doing well

I have been working on BlogAboutAnimals.com, my new site, for around 2 weeks now, on and off.

It's going pretty well and I already have 12 subscribers. Soon it will probably be my most subscribed blog of my mini network.

I am very busy right now with a design job but cannot wait until I can sit down and pay more attention to it, hopefully I can get a great communal spirit going there.

It's going to be my favorite project.

What's your favorite project?

The Perfect Server

I used to work in a Golf Club. I started off washing up, then used to help out a little in the kitchen and eventually even did a little bit of serving.

I wasn't very good, neither was I trained so never got to do anything serious. To be a good server you need training. Especially as certain customers expect things to be done in a certain way.

One way to quickly and efficiently provide waiter or waitress training to your staff or even train yourself is to use A DVD such as The Perfect Server.

The Perfect Server shows you exactly what it takes to provide excellent service in a restaurant environment and you will learn via two servers, one being good (Jane) and one being awful (John). The DVD aims to be humorous so it is not a total bore to watch like many training videos.

Vat 19 is the place to get this DVD but they also have much more including great gifts such as this Giant Wine Glass and much more.

3d South Park Wallpapers

I've just started work on a free wallpapers site called 3dDigitalWallpapers.com I thought I would show the kind of things you will be able to find when it is all up and running. Here is a bunch of free 3d South Park Wallpapers.

In Windows:

  • To set as desktop background, Right click the image and select "set as background image"

  • To download the image, just right click and select "save image as"
kenny going to heaventhe whole southpark gang

southpark and laptop south park blair witch

south park devils advocate timmy xmen

Obviously my site will be featuring much more than just this, it will all be free and no dodgy spyware crap with it. If you are interested then please sign up to my RSS feed or sign up to the email list so that you can be kept informed.

Thanks,

Forest.

Fix your teeth with finance

Free-Credit-Score -Online.com is a great place to find out about all the credit score agencies and arrange yourself a free credit check. It also has a wealth of information and articles on credit cards and credit scoring plus you can ask credit related questions and get free answers to them.

They recently released this press release relating to the fairly new ability to finance medical and cosmetic procedures using credit and credit cards:

A number of innovations which took place recently, made it possible for credit card holders to enjoy new credit financing programs for medical purposes.
In order to attract customers and keep them coming back, a number of credit card companies in cooperation with surgery centers have introduced quite beneficial payment plans and credit card offers. We know that many types of surgery (like cosmetic or dental surgery) are not covered by medical insurance. That is why a financing alternative has been created for those who need reputable medical services, but can not afford them due to different reasons.
Those who are searching for affordable solutions in healthcare credit options can well pay attention to Capital company, which has been cooperating with medical centers for quite a long time. Their credit card offer is really attractive: GE Capital Consumer Card Company is one of the most popular providers of financing options for plastic surgery. You can apply for their deals on the phone or online. You can learn the details of their credit card at the official site of the company.
One should be wise when applying for either of credit products of this kind, because the legislation in this field is quite vague and you should consider all pros and cons. The advice concerns both the choice of a surgery clinic and a credit financing plan.

Like this press release they provide a lot of interesting information. Their site is very well laid out and gives easy access to all areas and advice. If you are looking for bad credit credit then they can help too.

The section where you can ask a credit related question is pretty cool. If your answer isn't in the database then they will work out the answer and let you know.

If you are looking for the best free credit score, credit card info, general articles or anything related then they are well worth checking out.

Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, more sun and then..... rain all the way!

Got to love the Montreal weather. It was amazing for a week or so, now rain.

Reminds me of home (UK)! Still it's not cold anymore and at least the plants are getting some more water. Not that they needed any after all the snow this winter!

What is the weather like where you are?

I have heard that a little further north west in Canada the summer is beyond perfection with warm air, no humidity and nice cool evenings. That's what I want!

I can't complain too much, after all I did choose to live here and I do love it here. The weather is just something to moan about. After all i'm British, what else I am expected to do?

Toupee? What Toupee?

If you can't live with baldness there are plenty of things that you can do these days, including lengthy operations or attempting ti use miracle cream from the dubious infomercials. Or you could go with the old fashioned way of using a toupee.

Now toupee's used to look awful but looking at the technology available today I was left wondering... How many people have I recently met, who were wearing a toupee? Looking at the images, it seems that they are pretty much undetectable. Certainly much easier than having a full hair transplant!

Hairpiece-Toupee.com offers these natural hair replacement systems in many variations. You can get various basis such as french weave which is almost invisible to the eye. The hair can be real human hair, human remy hair or kanekalon fiber which all seem to look as real as my own hair.

I was very surprised by the look of the new systems. Do you know anyone who wears one of these modern hairpieces?

Busier than a very busy busy bee

I am having trouble keeping up with myself right now. I have around 4 web sites running and a graphics job on the go!

Once the graphics job is finished I guess I can get a routine back, I hope. Maybe concentrate on each blog one per day in a rotating cycle.

I am also having trouble with Google and getting it to recognize my new websites. I guess it's just a case of waiting until it decided to stop by and give me some time.

Use coupons for the best deals

Everyone knows that retailers always put a little more profit on their products than they need to. This allows them to offer us consumers discounts. Most people just pay full price but if you are able to read this then you are able to visit a coupon site such as 1-Coupons.com and get massive savings on your purchases.

Know matter what you are looking for you can find discount deals on school supplies, computers and furniture and much more.

1-Coupons.com has some amazing deals to pick up. Take these examples:

All three of these offers are particularly alluring to me but there are literally hundreds more. You are bound to find something just right for you.

The website is very easy to use and find your deals. It features easy categories, helpful info and top stores plus a very handy search option. It's nicely and simple designed to make browsing as quick and user friendly as possible.

Like I said it's always worth browsing for a coupon before buying anything on the internet.

MP3 Players

I have just heard some news about some technology that could increase the capacity of future static memory cards by 150,000 times! Sadly that won't be around for a while but there is still a great selection of MP3 players available to buy now.

I have an Ipod Nano and cannot recommend it more. I bet that some of the competition is just as good though and if I purhase a new one anytime soon, I will make sure that I check out the competition.

Broken flowers

In my youth I tired out my green fingers a few times. I had an orange tree for a while and a few standard pot plants but eventually each one died. actually my Nan took the orange tree and managed to keep it for about 3 years bt eventually it dies too!

If I ever get my own office I am going to be careful about having too many real flowers and may put some high quality silk flowers in place.

I hope that I will continue to try and grow the odd real flower here and there but the silk variety works well until then.

Decent exercise equipment

I am a member of my local YMCA gym. I pay around $50 a month which I assume is an OK price for here in Canada!

One of my main uses is the running machines. I run hard on these and recently they have been breaking down on me. I keep complaining and at times it is making me furious as it is stopping me from achieving record times.

I am hoping that one day I have the space and money to purchase my own decent exercise equipment and populate my own gym with quality stuff.

That reminds me, I have to go to the gym today!

Bad habit, sleeping late, working late

I have been getting into bad habits again the last few days. Ever since I returned home from a party at 5.30 am I have been sleeping in late and consequently, working really late.

Last right I was working until 1.30 in the morning. It's about 11:20 now and I am slowly doing some work but still have not risen from my bed.

Tomorrow is Monday, that's a good day for starting things fresh, so I have to force myself up early.

My partner has also got into the same habit and like me, she is currently working from home.

Small Business Web Hosting

I have purchased hosting from many companies. For the most part it works ok but it has almost always been for personal use. If you own a business and you rely on such things then you better make sure that you research and purchased the absolute right hosting.

Concentric Business Solutions may be able to provide the best shared hosting plans for your small business needs.

Concentric Business Solutions say that they offer a wide range of hosting and registration services aimed at small business websites. Their shared hosting plans feature domain name registration, email hosting, web hosting, and you get free additions like spam filters and virus protection.

I am getting close to a level where I may actually need to consider business hosting so a plan like this may be perfect for me.

Last day of hockey

As I am sure you have guessed, I am not talking about the NHL.

I have been playing foot hockey some weekends here in Montreal. Sadly the hosts are leaving for 3 months so it is the last game tomorrow afternoon.

I really enjoy playing and one of the other players was talking about possibly started to play football (soccer) instead. I would definitely be up for that!

Have you played soccer or hockey before? I am not very good at either game but really enjoy the run around and energy sapping. Plus we normally go for food afterwards... and I enjoy that just as much.

Villas for sale in Florida

The housing market is strange at the moment but as always a business is still operating and people still need to buy and sell property. Like anything if you want something then you can find what you are looking for with some research.

If you are looking for villas for sale in Florida then why not take a look at BardellRealEstate.com. They have a fine selection of properties at what seem reasonable prices for the current market.

Their site is simple and very user friendly and like all good agents should be, contacting them is easy by phone or email. They can hep you with investment properties, relocation, retirement properties or even find you vacant land.

They say they provide:

The most comprehensive information on Florida airport homes and Florida residential airparks, airports and aviation communities throughout Florida. View properties available online.
Some of the properties are very beautiful. I wish I could buy something like it! I am not in the market for anything like that right now.

Curry --- Chilli

I made a big lentil curry today.

I boiled up the lentils.

Fried some onions and veg with coriander, cumin, curry and garam masala and then added a few tomatoes and the lentils.... oh and some fresh chilli's.

Then after letting it simmer for an hour, the taste test. For some damn reason it tastes like Chilli!

I mean that's ok... just very unexpected.

I am going to make homemade tortillas tomorrow to go with it.

Know your heart

I often wonder about my heart. Especially when I am on the running machine and I can feel it beating through my chest trying to push my blood to my hungry legs.

I think my heart is OK and my heart rate has always been OK. Maybe a little high when I get stressed.

If you want to find out more about your heart then you can visit a great site called HeartLibrary.com. You can look into things like Rapid Heart Rate and watch detailed videos explaining the whole thing.

I have sent this site onto a family member who I feel may benefit from it.

Out late, up late

This morning I returned home from a party at 5.30! It was light but luckily I fell straight to sleep.

I slept pretty deep and rose from my hole around 14:00 feeling a little crappy but fine after a shower.

Problem is that I didn't start any work until around 16:00, and now it's 00:27 and I am still hard at work!

I ind of like working late but I have not left the house today , only good thing about that is that I have not spent any money!

I have no idea how late I will work... how late do you normally work? What time do you start?

Union Credit Reports

We all know that our credit report score is very important. I don't think I have a credit score here in Canada as I have been here too short of a time. In England my score is good (or it was last time I checked).

UnionCreditReports.com have released this interesting press release about your Credit Score in the USA.

It's not a secret that for the average consumer in the USA credit score is very important. In many cases it determines how we go about our lives. Our credit score helps to determine what car we own, how large our home is and what our vacation plans are.

Though credit score importance is obvious, most people have no idea of what is credit score, how it is determined and how to improve it.

So, your credit score reflects how much debt you have, how well you pay all your bills and what type of credit you have. The fact is that no one outside of the three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) knows exactly how credit score is determined. Every credit bureau has a different system for tabulating it. You can get your credit score from each credit bureau, though there are all close to each other.

Your credit score is the main measure of your financial behavior. Credit card misuse can affect your capacity to get more loans in the future. Remember that your credit score is vital in determining your financial future, so try to keep it high. Mind that the higher your credit score is, the more chances you have to get the best credit cards with profitable features.

So, be very careful with your credit score and don't forget that it influence your financial future.

UnionCreditReports.com also offers much more than just credit report links including things like credit card tips. Their website is also very helpful for cardholders who are interested in learning more about the world of credit cards. You can read articles on credit, ask questions about credit cards and get free answers to them.

It's a great little service. If the question is not in their data bank then you can send it to them for answering. The site is also very user friendly and not too cluttered. Plus you can contact them very easily if you cannot find the information that you are looking for.

So much to do....

I have picked myself up a little big of graphic design work, that could possibly lead to more in the future and I am pretty excited.

It is a great feeling to be getting back into some graphic work. Recently I also did some charity work for a friend of mine and they were very very happy.

Looks like things are on the up. I have also been improving TheRandomForest.com and started a new blog, BlogAboutAnimals.com which has been up for a week. It's all going pretty well, I am just madly busy.......... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

What are you up to right now?

Covering your truck...

One thing that struck me as a huge problem with the winter we are just leaving here in Montreal is the extreme conditions that it puts on people vehicles. I see so many bashed up old cars here. The weather must beat down on the paint, the cold must warp engine parts. It is very strange that many people put no protection over their vehicles. They really could lengthen the lifespan.

Industrial trucks and agricultural vehicles are built to deal with harsh conditions but often have open backs, protection of this even in light rain could be crucial.

AgriCover.com supply market-leading accessories for your pickup truck agricultural equipment and vehicles. They supply agricultural tarps, truck bed covers, and more. They are all built and tested in the United States and aim to provide you with years of service to harsh weather conditions.

They have some electrical systems that look fantastic and really caught my eye. It means everything can be controlled from within your truck and you can avoid the harsh weather too.

Their website is well laid out and packed with all the info you need, and if not contacting them is no problem.

My new local discovery

I went for my first outside run of the year yesterday. It was also my first run since moving to Montreal.

I rand down the street, round the corner and under a bridge. Then... I reached an area had never been too. I kept running through an half residential / half industrial area and then all of a sudden there is front of me was a big canal!

I just find it weird that I didn't know that I lived less than a mile from the canal. It wasn't the prettiest canal I have ever seen but it was gorgeous weather and the grass looked like it was worth sitting on.

Sadly I saw no canal boats but I ran along side it for a quite a while enjoying the view.

I wonder what I will discover on my next run?

Cubs Merchandise

I don't know much about Baseball but I have been learning. Last time I watched Baseball it was a Chicago Cubs game and I was watching it with my partner. That day she taught me most of the rules and I am finding a little soft spot for them since. I also looked up the Wrigley field and was very interested in watching a game some day, maybe from the Wrigley rooftop terrace?

As much as I say I don't know much about the game I have had a long time obsession with Baseball shirts and actually own some merchandise from a few small teams. With my new found interest in the Cubs I may have to look into purchasing some of their merchandise.

Probably the best place to look is Cub World. CubWorld.com is the website of the store Sports World which is conveniently located across from Wrigley Field. They launched on Opening Day in 2000 at Wrigley Field.

On their nicely website you can get what is probably the largest selection of cool Cubs gear. Purchase by major credit cards is simple and delivery is no hassle. The images are all of high quality there are detailed product descriptions.

They will also be providing the Wrigley Field "experience" via the internet and "Cub World Entertainment" very soon.

Off for a run

I'm just going off for a quick run. Nothing special I know but.... it's the first outside run of the year.

I can't wait, just want to finish writing this post so I can leg it!

I always get excited but know that my heart will be burning within minutes and I will want to come home! Wrong frame of mind, I am going to love it!

Have you been running / exercising / lounging or doing anything outside yet?

I think I'll even try and do some work outside this afternoon. Ahhh this is the life.

Look your best - Upscale Menswear

We all have to dress to impress at times. We may be visiting a friend, or going on a date or having an important meeting. Sadly my last time wearing a suit was for a funeral, but it's important to look good in that situation too.

Menswear can be expensive but will last for years so not necessarily a bad thing to invest in. UpscaleMenswear.com Has some very classy clothing indeed.

If you are looking to impress with classy business wear, look commanding, prompt and authoritative or show your wild, more expressive side with unique colors, styles and attitude then Upscale Menswear will be able to help.

And they do have an amazing range. I don't personally buy much leather but if you are looking for that kind of thing they can supply you with the best in alligator dress shoes, the best standard leather shoes, an amazing selection of the hottest suit and tie combos as well as some more funky items to spice it up a bit.

Duckin 'n' Diving

I have been reading a new site called Duck and Dive - How to leave your job and move to the Pacific.

It's written by a friend of mine and basically is charting his final steps in leaving the UK and moving to a new lush green life in New Zealand. Lucky for him!

He is leaving behind the dreaded employer and all the while using this site to rant against the evil bosses with hilarious affect.

Take his last post: The Top Ten Don'ts of Working at ******** ***********;

Where he mentions such gems as - 5. Don't expect a thing. Unless it's bad.

I am sure we can all relate to working in such a crappy environment. Maybe that is why so many of us blog!

I want to see the Grand Canyon

I have been to the Grand Canyon a couple of times... But sadly I have only visited it on Google Earth. It's a very nice 3d representation but I doubt it could ever compare to seeing it for real. I really would love to go and see it for real.

With all the amazing visitor centers, hiking trails, and restaurants to explore. Plus the fantastic and scary looking glass walkway on the west side! I think it would be an amazing vacation. Some of the Grand Canyon Hotels are very luxurious and offer great packages, even for just a few days stay.

Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon? If not then you should definitely check it out on Google Earth and I am sure you will really feel like dropping everything and running there now!

Finally able to work in the Garden

Yesterday I was finally able to relax and work in the garden. The internet was a little weaker out there but gave me enough juice to read emails and open a few web pages.

I loved sitting under a shaded umbrella, felt like I was on holiday. All I needed was a cocktail or a beer! Maybe that is something for tomorrow.

After weeks of people enduring me complain, I guess it's great that I finally have something nice to say about Montreal weather.

Oh I love the Spring.... next up to complain about is summer. Us Brits always have to complain about something!

Meet Plinko the Puggle

I briefly mentioned in a previous post that I have just started a new blog about animals.

I am kind of hoping that this blog will become my most popular and early signs are definitely pointing that way.

I love animals so I want it to be the one I can dedicate the most time too!

Anyway I have started a series there called "Bloggers Pets" and for the first in the Series Lynne of the Sweing Mom has put up her dog Plinko, who happens to be a Pug, Beagle mix known of as a puggle!

Anyway if you like the sound of this then mosey on over and let me know what you think.

http://blogaboutanimals.com/2008/bloggers-pets-plinko-the-puggle/

Thanks,

Forest.

Drug Treatment Centers

I have joked about being addicted to Caffeine before but drugs and addiction really is a serious thing and many drug treatment centers are doing a very important service, helping us to get friends, relatives and in some cases ourselves back into everyday life.

Drugs can destroy so much. I am not telling anyone what to do. Just saying that people need to keep themselves in check and if you think anyone you know has a problem don't ignore it.

Falling off my bike

Recently I have been thinking about riding a bike around town but it also reminded me of the times I fell off. I remember cycling along, very tired, from lot's of work and lot's of play (bad idea!).

I also fell asleep and ended up falling off my bike and my body skidding across the tarmac. As I looked up I heard a car screech and I was face to face with an impressive Chevy grille.

Lucky for me the driver was very nice and actually helped me. I learned my lesson but also learned what Chevy Grilles look like that close up! The cars are pretty impressive pieces of machinery.

Eagle Mountain Reserve

Would you ever think about living in a planned community?

I like the idea of having an idyllic setting to either get away to or retire in, with everything I need within walking distance and surrounded by open countryside. Maybe it would be a great place to bring up kids?

Eagle Mountain Reserve is a new estate that you may be interested in if looking for Marble Falls real estate listings.

Eagle Mountain Reserve is a 118-acre planned community located on the northeastern foothills of Lake Buchanan along Texas Ranch Road 2341. The site itself is situated on a mountain overlooking picturesque Lake Buchanan - a 23,000 acre lake in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. It's only 13 miles from the city of Burnet, 27 miles from Georgetown, and just 70 miles northwest of Austin.

Looking on their website, EagleMountainReserve.com, it looks amazing and being only 13 miles from the city you won't be too far away from more action if you really need to get out of the community.

I guess this kind of planned community has the best of both worlds. Secluded enough to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to be there in just minutes, if you need to go. Perfect for kids and older people alike.

Diet Coke, Caffine Free

I have been trying to ween myself away from caffine but enjoy drinking Cola. I know I need to stop cola too but that's for another day. It seem Coca Cola is a bloggers biggest vice since John Chow released his John Chow Cola :).

Anyway I have been drinking Coca Cola, caffeine free for the last few days in an attempt to get away from caffeine. I quite like the taste but strangely I felt like I was getting a small caffeine high for the first few cans.

Now it is going and I think my body is realizing it's not really there!

What are your vices?

Flomerics - thermal simulation software

Thermal simulation software is an important aspect in the design process of manufacturing. If you are looking for this kind of software then Flomerics may have just what you are looking for.

Flomerics is a world leader in computer simulation of engineering design processes that involve fluid flow and heat transfer. Their simulation software allows your business to develop highly efficient heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for your facilities.

As you can find out from their detailed website, www.flomerics.com, their electronic system simulation software will help you to eliminate mistakes before going into production. It will also help reduce costs, and accelerate and optimize your designs before heading off to the prototype stage.

The life of a cat

I sit here in my home blogging away and have had some time to watch the lives of the 3 crazy black cats that live here.

They have a pretty sweet life. Walking around, playing, lounging and eating takes up most of their waking hours. But of course they spend more time than anything sleeping!

It makes me ask the question, why did we bother evolving to this state? The cats were the clever ones, they let the humans evolve and then took advantage of it.

I love animals and for that reason I have started a new blog based on the subject. So if you fancy a read then take a look at blogaboutanimals.com.

Finding Collision Repair Experts

Sadly cars are not made of jello, well maybe that's a good thing but what I am getting at is they can get pretty bashed up in even a small collision.

Finding a reputable and high quality body shop collision repair expert is important and fundamental to getting a decent job done on your vehicle.

If you need a autobody paint and repair shop to fix your collision damage then taking the initiative to search the web could be a good idea.

And even better a site like CollisionRepairExperts.com can provide you all the info that you need in one handy place.

Collision Repair Experts is an online database of collision repair shops rated by customers based throughout the United States. Their website allows you to search for the best collision repair shops in your area. You know you are getting a better opinion as the opinions are from other people just like you.

Their website is very nice, clean and professional and they provide a list of highly recommended places if you want to take their advice and contacting them is easy by phone if you want to speak to their customer services.

Good to hear from XFM

Back home in London I used to listen to XFM all of the time.

XFM was pretty much London's only decent alternative radio station, although they did play some crap during the day!

Anyway I just had a brainwave yesterday and logged into their website to see if I could listen online..... Guess what, I can! And an added bonus. Because of the time difference here in Canada the decent evening programing starts in the afternoon for me.

What is your favorite Radio Station? Do you ever listen online?

Longing after a nice plush new Sectional Sofa...

I would love a nice new sofa to lounge on while the spring's rays beam through the window and I hear the birds singing away.

However I rent a room in a house so have to make do with the furniture at hand. The sofa is little old and worn. So comfortability isn't it's top skill!

That's why looking at the SECTIONAL SOFAS on Spacify.com is so mesmerizing! They have a fantastic range of contemporary, modern design to suit all tastes. I particularly like the one in the picture above.

What sofa would you pick?

Working outside, not just manual workers luck

The weather is now just warm enough to sit still outside for long periods of time. And what better way to spend it than working..... well ok but if you have to work then why not outside.

Sadly right this second I am not outside due to internet problems but I will try again in the morning and make sure I stay outside for periods when I do not need to be connected.

Later on, when the sun starts to set I think I will go buy a beer and sit under the umbrella with my laptop enjoying the warm evening. Ahhhhhhh nature and technology never went together so well.

Have you enjoyed working outside recently?

Personal Trainers in NY CIty

I have been talking about my exercise a lot recently. Sadly with starting my own business and having a low income right now I don't have enough spare cash to hire a personal trainer. I feel a personal trainer can really get the best out of you and offer you first hand tailored knowledge. Great, especially if you have specific goals in mind.

Anyway if you live in the New York area and are considering finding a personal trainer in New York then you should look into the service provided by DLFit Pilates Wellness Studio.

They are an experienced team of well-qualified instructors that bring a wide and varied range of teaching experience and aim to maintain the highest standard of safety and quality. They have provided intense, personal and professional fitness training to individuals over 20 years and are dedicated to helping you work towards a healthier lifestyle.

They say:

"By having the best instructors in our team, we can guarantee that the service, attention and training that you will receive are of unparalleled excellence".
An they also offer in-home personal training now for your complete convenience. So why not visit their website www.dlfit.com and see if they are just what you are looking for.

That bloody running machine!

I was aching this morning. After completing 3 trips to the gym last week and playing street hockey on Saturday my body was feeling a little worn when I woke up.

None the less I forced myself up (with the help of my partner), had some cereal, a shower and then managed to get myself to the gym.

I started off very sluggish and stretched slowly. Then came the time to run my 4 miles.

I thought.... I'll go slow and aim for 4 miles in 30 minutes, no records today. Then when I started the run I actually felt pretty good. So after my first slow mile I sped up and managed my first 2 in 14 minutes dead! I was on for a record 28 minutes.

As I carried on to the third mile it looked like I was going to make it slightly sub 28 minutes and was excited. So went faster. Then the problem hit with 1/4 of a mile to go..... the bloody running machine just slowed to a stop. I tried to quickly restart but with no luck. I was annoyed enough to shout at it and worry some of the other gym goers!

Now I know what I am capable of I will just have to keep trying.

Lowry Electric - Quick Review

Voted the 'Best Electrical Contractor' for a 9th year in a row in 'The Reporter - Readers Choice Awards', Lowry Electric obviously know what they are doing.

They are the providers of electric, heating and cooling services for the Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Berks, Lehigh, Lancaster, Lebanon and Northampton counties areas and have been doing so for 28 years.

They operate a strict code of ethics which basically breaks down to their commitment to
SERVE, DELIVER, PERFORM, EXPLORE and RESPECT, and do things such as screen their workers to ensure a drug free work place and good character.

Thw website is well laid out with their list of services more specifically mentioned on the front page and easy links to contact them

Customer testomonies are plentiful and detailed information about everything is present. If you are looking for central air PA or anything else they provide then LowryElectric.com is worth your time.

Is Lobster worth the eating?

I am a pescatarian, if that word makes any sense. I am a vegetarian that occasionally eats fish. I know I am a hypocrite but that's just what I am!

I do eat lobster every now and then and it is a tasty, pricey treat but today I got myself going on a guilt trip. If you eat a lobster that has been alive for 100 years then it will take another 100 for a new one to grow.

It confuses me that we have not completely killed of these poor creatures yet. How can we keep going, sweeping them out of the sea. 100 years of living for one luxurious family meal. Is that worth it?

Lobster tastes great but life is precious and we often take it for granted.

I wonder if crabs grow quicker?

Sinks or Faucets

I am English so the word faucets is strange to me. It actually feels upper class, maybe even snobbish. I would normally call it a sink. But since being over here in Canada the word Faucet is entering my vocabulary.

In fact I even notice them more because the word is different and also since my partners mother got one of the best most original ones I have ever seen. It has a great way of the water pouring onto a flat surface and then draining through a small drain hole. It opens up the bath room and makes it feel very cools and modern.

Montreal seems bigger

The sun is out, so are more people and for some reason Montreal looks bigger today. The blue sky seems a million miles away and the air (even though there are smog warnings) feels fresh.

I guess the fact that the snow is not boxing in all the streets is one of the main factors and now there is more than just the color of white everywhere.

Luckily big giant street cleaning machines are working away at night getting rid of all the winters left over dog crap!

Anyway I like this feeling, I like being downtown working away and I am looking forward to the next few weeks before the killer heat hits.

TheRichCom.com - Phonecards

Saturday, just like any day

Since I started blogging for a living I have realized that days have merged into one another. It's Saturday today and I am sitting here in JavaU cafe watching the world go by. For many people it's a joyous care free day of work. I don't give myself days off but I do not necessarily work full days either.

Would it be better for me to try and work towards 5 long days and the weekends off? Or is it best going the way I am and fitting life and work together like a jigsaw puzzle?

How do you manage your work / life ratio? Do you blog full time?

Finally doing some Taxes!

Today I am in a rush as I am finally going to do my Canadian Taxes!

I have not done any taxes for a very long time and am nervous about getting it right but if all goes well I will have anice little sum of money coming back! Woo hoo.

Sadly I have some UK taxes to do too! These are going to be hard as I will have to get my mother to look through all my docs back in the UK and give me the numbers.

Poor mother! I also think I owe the UK some money. Oh well, maybe the Canadian money will pay the UK taxes.

I considered an accountant but think that a couple of days hard work is better than paying someone. I have done taxes before so can do them again.

They have a very nice simple layout and not too may links to confuse you. They specialize in bad credit loans and can help you with their simple application procedure.

Run free

I love running at times and hate it at others... right now, I love it.

I am working hard at getting my fitness back and am back to running 4 miles on the treadmill.

Today I worked very hard and managed them 4 miles in 28:23. A respectable time, I think.

I hope eventually I can cut that by a minute more but don't know when I will hit a level.

However the weather is on the good side and should be from now on so the best thing about running is possible. I will now be able to run outside. Hopefully I can go for 4-6 miles light jogging some time this coming week.

I love using running to think about things and relieve stress.

Rods of wrought Iron - The perfect manly way to hang dainty curtains!

I don't really like curtains all that much but luckily for curtains I really like the things that hold them up! Maybe curtain rods are not my number one passion but they always get a look from me.

I am useless at hanging curtains and have broken many wooden rods in my time. I even remember leaning on one whilst trying to hang some curtains, it snapping in half and me falling off of the chair I was standing on!

Wrought iron is the way to go, much less likely to break and you can get all sorts of wonderful designs.

Such as the one in the image here or moose and Christmas tree one especially for the winter. Then you can swap to the bear design for the summer.

You can find all these wacky and some really cool wrought iron curtain rails at WroughtIronhaven.com. They also stock a whole lot more including furniture and garden decor.

If you are still reading this far then.... you are in luck as I know how to get a great discount on your Wrought Iron Haven purchases. Here is what you need to do.

  • Go to the homepage
  • Half way down, click on the comma in the line that reads “Our Store now has over 1,300 home & garden items for you to choose from!”
Simple!

Do you have any interested curtain or curtain rail related stories?

T-shirt weather

I remember people always used to say "I can't wait until it's T-shirt weather" Well the last two days here in Montreal have been just that.

I was in the gym this morning, working hard, and looking out of the window felt wrong. I am used to being on that bike looking out at layers of snow and people in full winter apparel. Today people were jogging, walking dogs, playing in the park and almost all wearing T-shirts.

The squirrels are out in full force too, meaning I need to get down the park with my camera soon.

Proud of my image about attacking bloggers!

Today over at TheRandomForest.com I wrote a post referrring to a recent Garry Conn post where he was annoyed at the way people were using Domain Name Flipping to scam.

I decided to create an image to go with the post and think I did a pretty good job in a short amount of time.

I realize that with time and more energy I could have made it much more realistic but it suits the purpose very well, me thinks!

Cher is coming to Vegas...

You have to love Cher.

I first remember her in a few great movies such as Mermaids and the one about the boy with elephantiasis (a genuine tear jerker!).

She is a good actress but at the time I did not realize that she had been a huge pop star for at least a decade previous. She has transcended a few eras and is still going strong. What an amazing lady! She looks amazing for her age and considering she has been going for around 40 years it's unbelievable that she is still producing hit records. Only a few other such as David Bowie can boast such a thing!

And guess what? She is replacing Celine Dion (Whom I do not like!) at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. From the beginning of May 2008 Cher will performing a spectacular looking new show.

Her official site says that Her new show will feature 18 dancers and aerialists, new costumes by Bob Mackie and some dazzling video and special effects.

It will debut May 6th and run for a month at first. With four shows per week at 7:30pm. She will return for further dates beginning in early August.

I don't think I will be in Las Vegas over this period and sadly don't have the cash right now but if you are looking then you can buy the tickets from this link:

Is time speeding up?

Everyone says it.... This pasy year has just flown by!

Is it me or does it seem like time is speeding up, When I was a child my summer break lasted forever. Now it's over in a blink!

Old people always say that it was only yesterday that they were 18!

Well... I have theory, probably not revolutionary or new but it's a theory.

When you are 10 a year is 1/10th of your life. When you are 30 a year is 1/30th of your life.

So proportional each year is less of our life making it seem like a smaller amount of time.

I have no idea how quick a year would fly by at 90!

What do you think of this theory?

Private Alcohol Rehab in LA

Alcohol is something that has affected most peoples lives in some way or another. Most people know, have known or are themselves alcoholics so we all understand that this is not a silly subject.

One good thing is that rehabilitation is possible and many recovering alcoholics are able to lead completely normal lives. This is only possible with the support of people who matter and in many cases professionals who have dealt with this for much of their career.

Finding the right alcohol rehabilitation center is very important and deciding based on who has been there before and it's celebrity endorsement cannot be the main factor you look at.

If you are Living in Los Angeles and you need to find an alcohol rehab clinic then you will not be short on choice. You will also not be short on celebrity endorsed, over-hyped clinics either so you have to be extra careful in your choice.

Alcohol Rehab Los Angeles treatment center can offer you the ultimate in privacy combined with pure luxury.

It's nestled on a private enclave in the hills of Malibu. Basically it's a small five-star resort masquerading as an alcohol treatment centerconsisting of three secluded estates on a private cul-de-sac surrounded by gardens, full of flowers and trees.

Each facility has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and the beaches of Malibu but offers you complete privacy.

One of the best ways to recover is to keep yourself away from the prying and pressure of the world that drove you to where you are. If you can tuck your away in an Alcohol Rehab, Alcohol Rehabsand resolve your problem then I am sure that you will have a better chance of staying sober.

When do you prefer to work?

It seems these days that work is never over. I do in fact have a never ending work load right now but still cut it down into small pieces each day.

However I keep starting too late. Today I woke, went to the gym, came home, ate and then started work. By which time it was 15:00! Way too late.

I need to find that medium, a time to start that is reasonable but also time to get other things done.

What time do you start work?

Sell houses professionally? Get organized...

I have been going on about organizing myslef today. I am behind on so many things and I suppose I need to start considering myself a professional.

Luckily for me my job is mostly virtual and I rarely meet people or have to organize for anyone but my myself.

Working in Real Estate however is a completely different deal. Every aspect of your business needs planning and organization to succeed. Especially in the current market climate.

One way to help streamline and keep your operation on the right track is to get hold of some software for real estate agents. This will allow you to run your entire business from one central program and cut out the need to collate all the different aspects.

AgentOrganizer is an easy-to-use real estate software package for the everyday real estate agent. You simply organize your contacts, listings, buyers, finances, appointments, and all other tasks. Plus the software can also easily help create flyers, letters, and perform mailmerges.

If you are interested then you can download a free 15 day trial of the full version of agentorganizer at AgentOrganizer.com

AgentOrganizer is a one time purchase of $149, not subscription based like many other real estate software packages.

Finally 4 miles

At last after my hard work at the gym recently I am backup to running 4 miles.

My rule was that I would not move up until I was running 3 miles in under 20 minutes. Amazingly I managed 3 miles in 19:33 on Monday. So today I stepped up to the new challenge.

4 miles in 30 minutes. I actually managed 4 miles in 29:06, much faster than I had anticipated and I felt pretty darn good.

I suppose the next step is to get them individual miles down to 7 minutes each and do it in 28 minutes.

Wish me luck!

Mantel Clocks

I have actually never owned my own mantel clock. I guess it's probably because I have never owned my own mantel? I rent a room here in Canada and tend to use my computer to tell the time, which is a drag at times.

I do really like mantel clocks though. In particular ones that show their inner workings. I am immediately brought back to two places when I see the intricate mangle of machinery it takes to run a traditional mechanical clock.

First is the Royal Observatory in the town of Greenwich, UK that I grew up. This observatory is where Greenwich Mean Time comes from the observatory really does have some great examples of clocks from the very early designs right through to today.

Second is my grandmothers house. She had a little gold mantel clock that would sit there ticking away quite happily underneath a wall of history in photos. I used to relish staring at picture of my father and aunts as spotty kids and pictures where my grand dad still had hair! The clock was spectacular and sparkling, obviously a prized possession. I used to get up as close as possible and stare at the little cogs jolting, turning, moving and all working symbiotically just so that us humans could make sure that the beef joint would come out of the oven on time. The poor little thing had an important skill was overlooked and taken for granted by the adults but it chimed away happily every hour and I loved it for that.

Now sadly I am one of them adults. I rush around like everyone else not paying much attention to anything but I still do like the inner workings of clocks. The clock in the image is a good reflection of what I would call a great design these days. Mixing the old time intricate workings with a clean, fresh and modern look it would look perfect in any modern home. Maybe my home one day? If you like this style then more information on this clock can be found in this mantel clocks page in the Kieninger section.

1-800 4 Clocks is a company specializing in many time pieces, especially mantel and grandfather clocks. It does not take long looking through their classy selection to find something that you like and gladly they have some great images and detailed information to compliment.

And like all decent businesses they now have a blog. It;s written in a great style, giving you are sorts of information and advice from how to find a clock for your room to the origin of certain kinds of clock. I really liked the short, sweet post on Cuckoo Clocks as it gave a brief history in a nicely written way. Enough to hold my attention, which is pretty thin right now! I now know that Cuckoo came from the Black Forest, maybe it will win me a pub quiz one day!

Doing some virtual spring clenaing

I recently ran a little opportunity of Social Spark for people to give and honest opinion of my blog www.therandomforest.com. Well... two people took up the challenge and they were extremely honest. It is appreciated though!

So today I will be on a mission to clean up the look of my blog and tidy up it's sidebars in particular. When that is done and some other things here and there then I will be looking into this blog and redesigning it.

I have so many spams and emails to clear out as well as 1000 posts in my Google Reader that I feel a little overwhelmed right now... so baby steps.

Backgammon from a Helicopter!

This is weird and very cool.Backgammon Masters has applied for a Guinness Gamer World Record in farthest backgammon dice toss to promote Backgammon Masters new backgammon Freeroll tournaments. These will be held every Tuesday and Friday at BackgammonMasters.com.

So how are they going to achieve such a crazy world record?

Well they are planning to have two well known Backgammon champions play a game from a helicopter. The game will be started by tossing two backgammon dice from a helicopter 200-300 feet up in the air onto a gigantic one acre backgammon board-shaped field. This will be a huge backgammon tournament, with the playing field, dice, checkers and the event being of enormous proportions.

Obviously the champions will be flying high throwing the dice and the minion staff members will be shoving the 3 feet diameter checkers around the field. All this will be orchestrated with the help of walkie talkies.

The winner gets to keep the 1,000 Euro dice, nice prize! Not sure what I would do with them after.

Guinness Book of World Records will be invited and hopefully enter this into their books. Special event tickets will be sold to the event and all proceeds will go to charity.

BackgammonMasters.com has great backgammon software and also lets you play Poker and 21 Blackjack games and has a great looking All-in-One Game Lobby plus Live Customer Support.

Back at the gym.... beating all previous records.

I have been back to the gym a few times since getting back from Vermont and gladly I have slotted back into my cardio pretty well.

The first time it was excruciating and then the second time, the same. Then yesterday, amazingly I beat all previous times.

I wish I knew how it happened or even how I pushed my poor body to do such a thing but I ran 3 miles in 19:33. Not bad for a 197lb man.

Now the next thing is to lose the 4lbs that I put on whilst in Vermont.

Tomorrow will be an easy 4 miles.

Exchange Traded Funds from www.netsetfs.com

NETSETFs.com is the website for Northern Exchange Traded Shares. They are an online company that will help the investment savvy individuals to deal in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)

A basic way to define an Exchange Traded Fund is that it is a basket of assets. ETFs from Northern Exchange Traded Shares (NETS) allow flexibility and convenience in the trading of fund groups. ETFs can be traded in a fashion that is more like stocks than mutual funds, meaning that you can buy and sell them in the same day for your convenience.

Their website is very nicely designed with very soothing hues of blue and a simple navigation system. Information for the individual is in abundance and you are helped with detail along every section. I like their approach and I like the way the information is presented.

So if you want to trade in the NETS DAX, then check out netsetfs.com.

Mini Review - Tech Review (abshome.blogspot.com)

AbsHome.blogspot.com goes by the name Tech Review.

I like the crazy logo but think it could benefit from becoming a full header.... I do know how much of a in it can be to customize in blogspot though!

The site is basically but easily laid out and simple to navigate making it a winner right away with me. It has a sidebar and post area. The side bar isn't too cluttered.

So what you have left to concentrate on is the important part... the content.

This blog much like mine is mostly full of reviews and small bits of info here and there. But the writing is well laid out and to the point meaning that any info needed can be gotten with no hardship. I like the direct style and found myslef even reading some posts that have absolutely no interest to me.

The most informative posts are the reviews of the mobiles(cell phones). I know we can get all the info from the manufacturers site but it's nice to get it listed with a normal person doing the writing.

Not a bad blogspot blog.

Need free content?

We all need to find some articles from time to time and it's not a good idea to steal them from other bloggers.

There are however some great free content sites popping up here, there and everywhere and Web-Articles.info is one such site.

It offers many free to use articles, in-fact over 1300, that are free to use, syndicate, re-write or just get learn from.

They could be put to many uses. For example you could add a tutorial feed to your site or cite parts of their articles in your own tutorials.

If you are looking for an example article then check out their one on vBulletin Administrator to see the quality.

They are pretty good. Your own twist would not be hard to add now, would it?

The site is nicely and neatly laid out with soothing color. It's easy to use and find what you need plus it is ever growing meaning that the more you come back the more you can find.

Let me know what you think?

Paying for wireless

A few times recently I have been stuck in the situation where I have had to pay for wireless.

When will people get it... We should not have to pay for wireless in a cafe or restaurant. We are giving our custom.

Both times I have been stuck has been my own fault. I said I would meet someone there and have gone there needing the internet ony to discover that I have to pay.

What do you think about it? Would you pay for wireless?

Maybe next time I will check ahead of time.

Protect your basement

Back when I was looking at buying my first flat I found a fantastic little flat on top of a really nice hill on a good street.

It was a basement flat and after I put the offer in I anxiously waited for the answer. My offer was accepted and I was so excited. Next up was the survey...

It turned out that there was a ton of basement damage and as it was a basement flat that meant in the bedroom and living room. My only guess is that it had been painted over or covered but it was something that could have been prevented with proper protection.

I looked for a company that could fix it but the sellers refused to take the price off the sale price. Regrettably I had to let the place go.

Basement water damage can be a very big problem and there are some great companies out there that can fix and protect you in the future. I believe it is well worth it.

If you live in the Connecticut area and are looking for a reliable CT basement contractors then why not take a look at BudgetDry.com.

Their simple site quickly shows what they can do and if you need to speak to them direct then you can call them toll free.

Online you can see photos of before and after jobs as well as get a free estimate and quite a lot of information related to your basement protection.

What forums do you visit?

I was just wondering what forums you guys use?

I have just gotten into Digital Point and finding it very useful. Currently I am pitching on a logo design job and have learned a great deal about Click Bank from the helpful regulars.

Also when I reach 50 posts I start getting profit share! Great deal... I have absolutely no idea if you make any money with it but I am all for the share the wealth concept. If I ever breed a large community site I will definitely make it profit share in some way.

What are your feelings on that? Would you do it?

Out of ink... AGAIN!

One of the problems we face in life is running out of and having to purchase more printer ink. If you buy direct from the supplier or any major high street retailer you are looking to spend over $100 in many cases to refuel your printer. This is pretty scandalous, especially considering that the ink refill sometimes costs more than a new printer.

Luckily for those of us who are in the know the cost of buying ink and be considerably reduced by searching and purchasing on the good old internet. It's always there to save the day.

A great place to search is Inkjetdeals.info. They are a kind of directory site that helps you find and links you to online retailers to get the best deals and discounts on ink for your printer, often up to 80% off. Also in some cases they can provide additional coupons and codes to save you even more off your purchase.

For example searching for ink for my Epson at the Carrot Ink page brings up 3 different coupon codes and their ink is pretty cheap as it is.

And if you look for Hewlett Packard LaserJet toner cartridges at their HP page you get 3 coupons again, one which is an amazing 50% off retail!

Another good way to search is to look up their coupons page where you can see all the deals that they have across all their listed retailers.

Aside from helping you find cheap ink InkjetDeals.info also offers up advice for us printer users. With articles on conserving ink, troubleshooting and more it's a great place to look for advice.

Hopefully their help articles will grow over time too and help us even more to beat the oppressive regime of printer manufacturers...... OK that was a little excessive but you get what I mean!

Random Forest mailing list coming soon

I have been thinking about this for a while now and will be lanching a mailing list very soon.

I still have not nailed exactly what it will be serving but hopefully I will be presenting exclusive content, discussion points, deals and recommendations.

I obviously will be looking for people to join and would like some feedback in regards to what would make you join a mailing list? What would you like to gain from it? And do you already subscribe to many lists, so would you read the content?

Hopefully I will hear from some of you...

A blog review of StylishDesign.com

I actually talked about this site before but recently going back it seems things have changed a little and before I start it's getting better, as I predicted.

Stylish Design is touting itself as an SEO blog that is aiming to help you market, design and build your blog in a way that you can be sure that you are hitting all the right buttons.

Firstly they give off the right impression by using what I think is the premium Revolution theme to very nice stylish and simple effect. Immediately giving of the feel of a magazine, you feel like they are pros before even reading a word.

And then reading the words brings good news. For example their article about making an SEO friendly website does a great job in motivating you to follow some simple tips so that Google can actually see you and help drive the right people to your site. It also does a great job of describing what a dynamic page is for all us dummies.

The site is filling up with these great simple articles that give sometimes complex information in a presentable fashion. The writing has a little personality injected into it so although not all the information is revelutionary you feel good learning from this source.

They are a relatively new blog in this niche and we all know how hard it is crack but I am sure they will give it a good go. I have subscribed and been subscribed for a week or so now. So if you are interested in their approach then why not subscribe too.

I suppose there are a few little bugs such as spacing in 2 line headers and, I think, the need for a logo but these are early days and you can't hold it against them.

Let me know what you think of StylishDesign.com

Finally Spring is here.... almost

This is a sticking subject on this blog I am afraid!

I am becoming absolutely wildly obsessed with the weather in Montreal. Spring keeps almost arriving and then being spoiled by a random snowstorm or stupid rain.

However I am dreaming again, today, that the beautiful weather and almost t-shirt wearing abilities of the day means that Spring really is here.

I can deal with a little more rain, after all the flowers need to drink but please dear god almighty, mother nature or whoever is controlling this madness..... let it be Spring so I can finally say Spring is here.

Well the baby can't sleep on the floor!

I have been watching Lost recently and in one episode John Locke used some tree brances and a knife to fashion a great looking crib for Claire's baby. Generally in real life though, this isn't the way it works! For most of us non-mcguivers it's easier and better for our baby if we shop for baby cribs either online or at the store. If you know what you are looking for then you will probably get the best deal online.

www.ababy.com could be a good place to take a browse.

Car insurance, do you need it?

I don't need car insurance as I don't drive. But I do know how important it is to have it. I have been in a few minor crashes, never my fault! And the simple procedure of getting out of the car and swapping details is so completely normal now that no one batters an eye lid. Sadly sometimes the other driver may not be insured and it could cause you some hassle but if you make sure you are covered then there should be no issues long term. I know a few people who, even though always ranted about paying, have been saved by their insurance.

The Best Buys - Where do you go?

I never used to shop around much on the web but recently and especially with me being online all day it's becoming more of a habit.

One you start hunting around for the best buy it can become addictive and you find that you are constantly trying to find the one deal to beat all deals. And great thing is sometimes you find it!

Buy.com has some great prices and free shipping on it's products plus they have great weekly deals. For example, at time of writing you can pick up a 2gb SD cared for $10. Not bad eh?

Has Gladiator Dated?

I was watching Gladiator, you know the one with Russel Crow the other day.

The special effects are pretty decent and the acting is good but for some reason it felt slightly dated. What do you think?

Is it the style of film, the type of acting, my imagination or what?

It's strange when you watch TV from just a few years back and realize how much that dates too. Technology moves on so fast that we don't notice it changing at the time. Just think CDs have been around for over a quarter of a century now1

All you need is love, love...

Relationships, love and life all go together pretty well. When I was single I really wanted to be in a relationship and now I am, strangely contrary to popular belief amongst single men, I am happy and content.

There is nothing better than being in a relationship with someone who is your equal and who is there for you and vice versa. I don't want to be single again.

Sadly a number of factors can affect relationships and we have to accept that sometimes no matter how perfect they once were a break up can happen. This is when we need our friends but the internet is also a great place to find unbiased personal advice without you having to deal with anyone face to face. Good things can come of it if you stay positive. You can learn a lot about yourself. If you end up in a rebound relationship then it might not be that bad. A bit of fun might do you good or possibly this quick decision, rebound might actually be everything you never knew you needed.

On the other side of things though that special someone may be the one you will spend the rest of your life with. It's important to make sure that if you feel that way, that they know it. In the beginning many couples are very soppy exchanging romantic letters, sending flowers and wooing each other in various creative ways. Sadly with familiarity many people lose this romance. I think it's important that sometimes you keep it alive, even if it's a silly gesture or just telling your partner how much you love them.

If you are looking for a website related to relationships, love or romance then RomanceForEveryone.com is a great little website for all of us entering, in, or leaving a relationship. It features a ton of romantic letter, dating tips and break up advice as well as many relationship articles.

When is Lost starting back again?

Damn it.... I have finished watching Lost... well almost. 3 epidisodes of season 4 left and then what?

I tried to find out when it was coming back to finish the season but had no luck browsing.

Do you like Lost? Is it worth getting all jittery over, waiting for the new episodes?

And most importantly... Will they get out of the slump and bring back revelations that I can't keep guessing?

Maybe everything, if it goes on too long, is subject to formula. That's what math has us believe and after all Lost is full of math conspiracy!

Anyway I am looking forward to it's return.

Dealing with clutter

How do you deal with clutter? I am getting up to my ears in spam, emails, and junk on my desktop and that is just in the virtual world.

The real world has drawers filled with bank statements in random order, too many clothes including many I don't wear and an untidy room!

So I have to make a list, lists are my only way out of clutter. Make sure I do each task, not necessarily in order but at least so I can see them ticking off.

Have you had much luck with lists?

Columbia Uni Biohazard

Bathtub Talk is a blog aiming to keep updated news and make people aware of a Biohazard issue surrounding Columbia university and their expansion plan.

I immediately liked the design and am personally a supporter of activists using blogging and the internet to further their cause and gather support for their cause.

In this instance it seems that a Columbia University have already been in trouble for releasing dangerous chemicals into their surrounding environment and Bathtub Talk is trying to gather a force to help Stop Columbia's Expansion Project.

I have signed up to the mailing list and plan to follow this and learn as much as possible. If the problem is as Bathtub Talk says then I will continue to show verbal support at very least.

News and How to Do's

I have a few projects lingering around now and at some point may need to start sourcing content or at least content ideas or excerpts from other places. I am thinking of syndicating news feeds r republishing peoples articles, with credit of course.

Well HowTo.fm is a new place that offers us webmasters both of them options. It is a new article directory aimed towards tutorials and news but wants to grow to include a very wide range of material and then offer it all back to us as free content for syndicating.

Great idea! And good for the internet community.

Their website is nicely designed and submission seems very easy. It may even help you get credit for your own work and have it spread across the web.

A lot of their articles right now are web design tutorials and technical stuff such as the article on "Calling a function using CF Invoke". Great thing is, if this suits your need and would be of interest to your readers then you can put it on your site.

If you stop by there, let me know what you think.

Watching Lost in Canada

I have a problem.

I was in the USA for three weeks and had avidly been watching Lost on ABC.com. Now back in Canada, ABC does not work!

I am over half way through the third season and want to continue watching.

I have looked at various options, which involve setting up a proxy and various elaborate techniques but I think it may be easier just to settle for slightly lower quality and find another place that Streams it.

I took a look around and most of the places are useless but I did find one reasonable place.

That place was surfthechannel.com. They also have some other shows if you are interested.

Forget surfing...

I remember the first time I actual saw anybody wakeboarding for real.

I was visiting Cornwall in South West England for a holiday with some friends. We were at a beautiful place called Newquay, where you get some of the best surf in the UK (not that hard I know!). There was some surf championship going on but there were wakeboarders in the water too.

I was amazed at how far in the air they could jump and the astounding tricks that they could do. Very, very cool, indeed!

Now I have never tried it but hopefully one day will. For those of you who have tried it and are looking for gear you can get some great deals online and BuyWake.com is one such place.

They have many lines in their huge range including Liquid Force Wakeboards and much more.

For example you can buy the Liquid Force 2008 Response 134 Slingshot Wakeboard for $3.99, an amazing $130 off the recommend price! The design is great and like any decent outlet purchase is a cinch. Plus they have a phone number if you need to discuss your needs in more detail and the website is very detailed.

I love the look and simplicity of their site and would definitely look at them in more detail if I was in the market for a cool looking wakeboard. Maybe I can get one just to hang on my wall and look trendy!

Attempting to earn with affiliate marketing

Recently I have been experimenting with making money using affiliate links and Adwords.

Basically you find a n affiliate link, create an adwords campaign, set a budget and see if you can make more sales than what it costs.

My ratio was about $90 spent and $75 made right now. Bur sadly I went further over budget and made no further sales.

I have been using Clickbank as you can find affiliates at about 50-75% commision. Then you set up an Adwords campaign and tweak until people are clicking and buying.

Expect regular updates on this idea and a furter case study, hopefully i can make it profitable.

Fantastic Plastic

We live in a world of plastic these days. I would put money on the fact that there are more than ten plastic objects within the room you are in right now. It really is everywhere and a major part of our lives.

Plastic has been a problem in the past but luckily that is turning around and we can now produce recycled plastics which can be used to make everyday products.

One of the most common forms of recyclable plastic is HDPE (Density Polyethylene). HDPE is used as raw material in to produce many products that you use on a daily basis including milk bottles, water pipes, and food containers. For manufacturing purposes it can be purchased in various forms like: granules, pellets, film, regrind, or scrap (waste).

It's temperature resistant, alcohol and acid resistant and also resists many oil based fluids plus it's extremely strong and believe it or not was the material originally used for the hula hoop, albeit under a different name.

We have come a long way when t comes to recycling and I believe it is now an essential part of our life and protecting the earth. Companies such as Raw Polymers Ltd specialize in recycling many plastics and provide our manufacturers with the materials we need to make sure that we reuse as much of the stuff as we can. Sadly many plastics are not biodegradable so reuse is a great option.

What's this buzzing in my head!

Every time I open my laptop in a cafe and look at the long list of networks just floating around in the air around me it worries me a little.

Add all the radio transmitting, mobile phone signals and secret government brain washing waves and you know that your poor brain has no break. There is no silent place to think in the city we are constantly being interfered with.

Maybe it will help us out, maybe our next generation will have two extra arms or something, maybe we will get addicted to the extra activity buzzing in our brain, who knows?

I wonder if the headache that I had for the last couple of days was related?

Design, style and some technical stuff thrown in too!

When I first laid my eyes on StylishDesign.com, I thought, yes it's stylish. Making a great use of the marvelous premium Revolution theme (I think!) it immediately sticks out and makes you want to read on.

Although the site initially looks like and says it will be a site about web design & style it actually holds a hell of a lot of technical articles and in some ways could be called an seo blog. Recent articles on true Page Rank and Using search engines for marketing are interesting reads bringing the writers personal perspectives as well as some useful information.

You can tell the site is new and finding it's field and feet but that's a good thing, it's a great time to hop on board and become part of a new place, you can never have too many opinions or too much information as far as I am concerned.

There are a few things that need sorting but nothing major that I can see. The tagline under the logo needs to be moved away to stop it clashing and I think needs to include some wording to make you realize that the site is technical in nature too Also the About page needs to be filled out but this will come in time and so will a more unique voice and place in the blogosphere.

I liked this site enough to subscribe to the RSS and see where it is going. As I said the theme is well utilized and took me in right away plus the strength of the writing was strong enough to keep me reading.

Visit StylishDesign.com and let me know what you think.

Forget the rain, buy a car online.

Buying a second hand car used to and still can, if you so please, involve driving around the streets looking for old bangers displaying hand written signs in their back windows. Or alternatively you could go to a car dealership and be sold an overpriced wreck that could break down at any minute.

Then came the glorious internet.

Now you can browse in the comfort of your own home, send probing questions and view the vehicle from many angles without ever actually touching it. This cuts down on a lot of unnecessary visits to strangers houses. You still do however have to be careful and make sure that you are looking at the used cars and that you will not get conned when it comes to buying. That is where BuyYourCar.co.uk hopes to come in.

They are an online used car sales website with tons of vehicles with detailed profiles waiting for your viewing pleasure. They also host a great amount of advice to make sure you are making a good purchase and offer a host of tools for comparing and finding the right deal for you. The navigation is easy ad so is everything else. Not a bad place to start looking for your next vehicle.

A drop in the ocean, eventually!

As a child I used to wonder about the journey a water drop makes. In reality I am sure that a drop does not stay a drop but none the less it's a good objective way at looking at it.

Just think of the journey that one molecule makes over millions and millions of years. It's incomprehensible. They say that a glass of water may have been through up to 9 people before you!

Starting with a cloud the drop could be hanging around bored and then whoosh the poor little bugger drops. Hurtling down towards the earth and luckily landing in a pool at the top of a mountain. From here it gradually swims to the mouth of a river and then whoosh the ride starts again, bashing against rocks, passing through the gills of fish and finally settling in a man made reservoir. From here a pipe directs int through miles of traveling to finally make it into a facet. Plopped into a glass of water then dealing with the ordeal of being inside the human bosy before being sweated out and traveling back to th sky as a gas. Luckily this drop was spared being peed out into the sewers, this time.

Thus the cycle continues.

Digital Point Forums

I have been spending a little time of Digital Point forums recently (http://forums.digitalpoint.com) and I would definitely say that if you are interested in the net and marketing then you should hop on over.

Also once you make 50 posts they start sharing Adsense profit on posts that you write and threads that you start.

I think that I am at around 25 - 30 right now so slowly getting there. Oh and you can't go and post 50 useless posts as they are monitored. I made a cheeky comment and I received a warning for running up my post count!

Little Dogs

Why are we often scared of little dogs.

I have never been scared of a cat but I am convinced that in truth a little dog could do no more damage than a similar sized cat.

I have crossed the road to avoid a raging jack russel or jumped back in fear when a yorkie, accompanying a purple rinse haired old lady, get's a chip on it's shoulder.

Being someone who enjoys running, little dogs are the worst thing to encounter.

A little dog, unleashed will chase you until it gets you to sob like a little kid who has just lost his parents in a department store.

A little dog has no fear. I guess that's why they scare me.

Next time I promise, I will face my fear and just kick the little bugger.
