A wild ride to Boston

Around this time last year I had a planned trip to Montreal to visit my partner It was my third time last year to Montreal so that in itself was not that new anymore. Still, what was special was that Lara was finishing university for the summer and we could send some time together without essays and classes getting in the way.

After arriving and being around Montreal for a few days we decided to visit her family in Vermont. After a discussion with her siblings this short little hop over the border ended up being a 3 state road trip marathon with the highlight being a visit to Boston.

Boston was amazing, the minute I saw the city rise up in front of me I knew I was going to love it. Traffic was bad and we took a while parking but once out we had a lot of fun.

There was a huge charity march with thousands of people blocking the roads (hence the traffic), a street festival and we went to Harvard too. The street festival had some great Indian street curry and I only wish I knew what restaurant the tent had come from. Boston is a great feeling city and I really need to get back there some time soon. We didn't get a chance to take any tours but I definitely will spend a bit more time visiting things like museums the next time I am there. There are definitely plenty of things to do in Boston.

Next up will be New YorK, Seattle and Chicago for me, I hope.
