Tom and Jerry old and new

I was just watching Tom and Jerry and realized that it was one of the newer versions.

I grew up with a mixture oif the 80's Tom and Jerry and some of the early originals.

I think I liked the original concept the nest. Just Tom, Jerry, TMOther and the occasional dog whereas the newer versions see them getting into all sorts of trouble and adventures and makes them much less just "cat and mouse".
