Sometimes surgical weight loss is the only way

I try to keep myself healthy and keep my diet to a good level. So far I am suceeding and don't think I will have any major problems in my future.

Sadly some people have gone beyond that phase and are finding it impossible to shift large amounts of weight and decrease the amount of food to fulfill hunger and appetite.

This can lead to depression and general unhappiness amongst other things and it is hard to decide what to do next.

Many overweight people try everything from starving themselves to popping pills that even they know will not work but desperation leads us all to try everything we can.

If there is no other choice then some people may look to surgery and it isn't as scary or problematic as many may think. Recent advances in surgical technology and research has meant that once dangerous and overly expensive surgeries are now almost common procedure and can be successfully carried out by the right skilled professionals.

For example take Hadar Spivak, MD, FACS.

Dr Spivak is a specialist in surgery and weight loss. He focuses on the most hi-tec, advanced laparoscopic weight-loss procedures such as the LAP-BAND® System, the REALIZE™ Band, and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass.

He has a great level of experience and has performed thousands of laparoscopic bariatric procedures from his Texas weight loss surgery practice.

The practice has been designated as "a center of excellence" by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) so you know you are dealing with a place of extreme high quality.

The gastric bypass surgery cost is much more affordable these days and at Dr Spivak's practice you can get surgery with follow ups for under $12,000.
