Do you miss fish and chips?

I know that I miss them.

It's taken me being away form the UK to realize how nice the pile of deep fried starch and greasy fish can actually be.

Quebec fries tend to be overcooked and very thin which leaves me longing for the long fat unevenly cut of chip that you find in your typical grease stained yellow ceilinged chip shop. The older and more dirty the oil the better. The older and more nicotine stained the server.... the better.

If they serve them in newspaper and you get the print all over your hands.... well that's a bonus.

I miss fish and chips!
