The heat is on, so is the thaw

The ground all around this house is covered with a great evergreen smell and a light cloudy mist. Water is pouring off the roof and the snow is starting to retract from the house and water is running down slopes all around.

The thaw is on, Spring IS coming.

The smell reminds me of the damp smell you get in the Welsh mountains but it's a little warmer. It did however make me look forward to my next visit to Wales and hopefully one day I can take my girlfriend for a hike up Mount Snowdon.

I still need to conquer the mountains here in Vermont and maybe I will get a chance for that this summer.
