Want to get on the property ladder, hit the bars

Next time you are innocently sipping nice cold bottle of Corona or a glass of Dom Perignon and somebody slinks over to sit next to you. Their intentions may not be as they seem.

It may seem like your lucky night and it may even lead to your lucky year but if they may actually be after your salary. Not to take all your money but rather to use it to boost their chances of getting a mortgage.

According to a story, published on www.earth.co.uk, the www.fool.co.uk has said that it is getting increasingly difficult for single people to get onto the UK property ladder.

David Kuo, who is the head of personal finance at Fool.co.uk, said:

"I think the market is such that a single person on a single wage will [find it] impossible to get onto the housing ladder. In London in particular, you''re talking about ten times the average salary just to get onto the housing ladder."
But if you combine two peoples incomes and get around a joint £50,000 then you may be able to get a mortgage of around £200,000.

This may only be enough for a shed in parts of the country but if you search and look in the up and coming areas then it is possible for a couple to find a good nest.

Of course you have to be weary that once your partner has used you to get that property, they may next be looking at making use of your life insurance property! Sorry about the sick joke :).

If you are a genuine couple, or a single with a good income, or even a business and you are looking for a mortgage then you can visit www.earth.co.uk for a Free Mortgage Quote and see if they can offer you what you are looking for.
