I want to get a copy of my credit file?

My partner said to me a week or so ago:

“I want to get a copy of my credit file”

So we both went online and tried to find really free credit reports. We actually found quite a few places that offer a really free credit report but decided to go with GoFreeCredit.com and I must say the process was very straightforward and gave her everything she needed.

The states offer free credit reports so you might as well use the chance to get the free credit report entitled to you. In fact in the USA, under Federal Law you have the right to receive a free credit report from each of the three credit agencies every 12 months. GoFreeCredit.com also have a link for UK residents to get their free credit report.

When my partner ordered her credit report it gave her a comprehensive and very useful list of all her credit activities including cards, loans, over drafts and also who had last checked the report. Details of late payments, outstanding debts and all kinds of information are also presented in a very easy to understand way. You also get your credit score, an indication of it’s quality and information explaining it and how you may be able to improve. Not at all bad for a no cost credit report!

Your free no obligation credit report from GoFreeCredit.com offers you:

  • Unlimited access to your credit report for 60 days
  • Automatic notifications of changes to your credit report
  • A detailed personal analysis
  • Details on who has viewed your report

You also sign up for a free 30 day trial for their credit monitoring service, which could help reduce the risk of fraud and help you to improve your score to get better loans and mortgages. During the course of the 30 days you can cancel at absolutely any time and not pay a penny. So you would have ended up with an absolutely free credit report and absolutely free monitoring but if you like the service you may decide to keep it.

The self credit check online is quick and easy and took less than 10 minutes. Even if you don’t need your credit report right now, you get three free a year in total so there is no harm in getting one out of curiosity.
