You don't have to travel to have a meeting across the globe

The world wide web is bringing a lot of amazing technology into everyday use. Just the other day I started to attend a weekly meeting or webinar. We can all talk via voice, video and text so people from all connections and places can meet in one place and have what turns out to be a very functional meeting.

We are discussing business plans and ways to grow our online business with each other meaning that we are harvesting a wealth of experience and creativity.

We all know that web conferencing has been around for a while, and up until recently has mainly been used by large companies doing earnings conferences, and formal marketing webinars.

But it is becoming very affordable and very popular. Recently David Suzuki, the leading environmentalist, said that in 2009 he will not be flying and will be conducting all meetings via web conferencing, to cut down on his carbon footprint. This is a good selling point for any enviro-conscious business.

Meetings can now be called on demand for a business of any size and almost any location. Everyone can be involved and your efficiency can be greatly increased.

What use would you find for web conferencing? I know it is something that I will be working with over the next few years and I believe it could be one of the best ways to make sure my business grows at the rate that it should.
