Irish celebrations in North Amercia

Back in London St Patrick's wasn't really a big deal. Guiness tried to make it so and you could often come by some great promos around this time of year but not much else.

Here in North America, especially Montreal it is something very different. It is strange that 3000 miles away they have parades, crazy pub drinking and everyone wearing green. And to boot not a lot of them were actually born in Ireland but they are very proud of their Irish heritage.

I am glad that it is celebrated in this manor. More people should celebrate their heritage in this way. Bring on St Patrick's.
