The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk®

If you know anyone who has been touched by Alzheimer's then you fully understand the severity of this terrible deterioration of a persons brain.

I have seen people slip from the early stages to a stage where my name is no longer easy to recall. It really is sad and luckily we are making progress on discovering treatments and maybe one day a complete cure.

Obviously one of the best ways to help such things progress is to give money or raise money for the associated charities and there are some great events coming up from The Alzheimer's Association.

The Alzheimer's Memory Walk is the biggest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research in the USA. It is currently looking for volunteers (of all ages)to help in the ongoing fight against Alzheimer's. Over 600 communities are hosting these walks which are typically 2-3 miles. They are held on a weekend morning in the fall.

Why not check out the walks and see if anything is going on near you. I will be checking this out.

Hey Lynne...

I did this post then found out that I would not get paid as it was for US bloggers only!!! However I thought it was such a good cause so I decided to keep it proudly displayed.
