I have just quickly had a shuffle around on the colours of my layout. I am still not sure if I should change or not so just wanted to get some opinions from some of your regular readers and decide if I should move over from 'the dark side'.
A few posts and people have suggested that black themes turn away new reader, have any of you seen that to be true?
So let me know what ya thing! Thanks a squillion.

I love it, except for the red text. It's a little painful on the eyes. And if you look into color psychology, red is said to increase the heart rate and be a stimulant. If that's the effect you're after that's ok. ;) but me personally I prefer colors like green and blue and purple - they are calming.
Purple was the color of royalty in medieval times, and people had to pay a tax to wear it!
Like I said before it is generally known that blog readers prefer white backgrounds. Otherwise my blog would have a black background. ;)
The header graphic looks good. You could leave that red but I wouldn't suggest leaving the text red - at least not that shade of red because it is a little bright..
Well, you asked for my opinion, that's what I think.. ;)

Your layout is awesome, but I don't care for the red text either. Kind of throws me off a bit. Harder to read. Everything else looks great. Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's appreciated. :)
I like this theme, it's a little spooky looking with the mysterious tree branch, but it goes perfectly with your site title. The red text doesn't bother me and I do have older eyes, even with my bifocals I can read it just fine. The black background was much harder to read, but if you have good content, which you do, I keep coming back, which I have.
Thanks so much for the feedback.
The overall opinion is that the test is not great so I will be fixing that in the coming days.
I so behind on post reading right this seconds so must rush off and do some of that.
Thanks so much.
