Change of scenery

Bored with the daily grind of working in an office, a friend of mine decided enough was enough. So he quit his day job, used some saved money to apply to a plumbing course and changed his career, life and everything.

This was pretty admirable.

The Plumbing Training course enabled him to get an aprentaship and 2 years later he is now working self employed and earning a very good sum of money.

I have been on a few course myslef. At 16 I participated in an NVQ level III in grahic design. It was an 8 month course that led me to my first joba and ended with me being a freelance, 9 years on. It was a good course but I had to deal with working a part time job in a graphics firm with practically no pay but worthwhile in the long run.
