Would you own a Retail Franchise?

I was recently eating at a local restaurant and I saw a little sign advertising for people to buy a chunk of the business and start a franchise. I fantasized about the idea for abit. I would be pretty fun to own a retail franchises, especially if you managed to make it profitable and could eventually leave it to run itself.

What kind of franchise would you like to run. A restaurant is definitely my pick.
